The academic level is high, but is nevertheless served in a down-to-earth manner – it is not just theories that “fly around the room”, but continuously present cases that illuminate and support relevant issues. In short, I am really excited about the whole program and implementation. One of the most important things I take home is the composition of a board. So how important diversity is to the dynamics and effectiveness of the board, so that good results are achieved that satisfy the owners and which can form the basis for good sparring for the CEO. In addition, the program has given me, overall, an important helicopter perspective on board work in general, and I have got some very concrete takeaways that I can use directly in my own boardroom – for example how we create better structure, visible goals and evaluate ourselves and ensure, that the board consists of the right competences. “The Executive Board Program INSEAD is – without comparison – the best boarding training I’ve attended – and I’ve tried a little differently. Both the course in Kolding and at INSEAD in France were absolutely fantastic. Not least, the topic of how to get a board to play with the company’s CEO was very exciting. But also the teaching of shareholder value, which is about how important it is that you manage to think long-term, was really an eye-opener. Both the general academic level and the level of the teachers have to a great extent impressed.
